CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Danish Centre for Writers and Translators has the pleasure of being able to offer four two-weeks working residency in the buildings on the beautiful grounds of Hald Hovedgaard, near the town of Viborg, in the period of June 20 – August 15, 2022.
Four foreign* authors of fiction will be chosen to come to Denmark one at a time and for two weeks live in and share the a writing-conducive environment at Hald Hovedgaard together with seven Danish writers or translators.
This working residency is available to foreign authors who as a sole author have had at least two books of fiction or poetry published.
The residency is free for the chosen writers but they will have to pay for their own food etc.
The chosen writers will receive a grant of up to 4.000 DKK to cover reasonable travel expenses.

Besides personal informations and a list of publications the application should contain a short explanation of your motivation for attending this international summer residence programme, as well as a short description of the project that you plan to be working on during your stay.
In the application your must mark the periods that you are interested in a residency at Hald Hovedgaard:
- June 20 – July 4, 2022,
- July 4 – 18, 2022
- July 18 – August, 1 2022 or
- August 1 – 15, 2022
