CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Danish Centre for Writers and Translators has the pleasure of being able to offer four two-weeks working residency in the buildings on the beautiful grounds of Hald Hovedgaard, near the town of Viborg, in the period of June 19 – August 14, 2023.
The Among the Danes Program invites four foreign writers to Denmark, where, one at a time, for two weeks they will have the opportunity to live and work in a writing-conducive environment at Hald Hovedgaard side by side with seven Danish writers, translators, or illustrators.
The four writers who, as a sole author have had at least two books of fiction or poetry published will be selected based on their applications.
The residency is free for the chosen writers, they will be responsible for own catering, and will – in 2023 – each receive a grant of 1.000 Euro to cover expenses for catering, travel etc.

TO APPLY
Besides personal informations and a list of publications the application should contain a short explanation of your motivation for attending this international summer residence programme, as well as a short description of the project that you plan to be working on during your stay.
In the application you must mark the periods that you are interested in a residency at Hald Hovedgaard:
- June 19 – July 3, 2023,
- July 3 – 17, 2023
- July 17 – 31, 2023 or
- July 31 – August 14, 2023

Deadline for applications is March 5, 2023.
Applicants can expect a reply 2-3 weeks after the deadline.
